The Ultra Safety Cabinet Bladder System provides a technical solution for facilities that need reliable spill containment integrated with fire rated drum storage. Traditional drum safety cabinets were originally built to shield stored materials from flame and heat. Those early designs did not account for spill control, secondary containment, or the behavior of flammable liquids during significant leaks. This system addresses those gaps with engineered performance, consistent operation, and a focus on compliance with modern regulations.

The system retrofits existing vertical drum safety cabinets found throughout industrial plants and manufacturing environments. It installs by elevating the cabinet, positioning the containment unit beneath the base, and lowering the cabinet onto the structural steel frame. This frame maintains stability under load and provides support even when exposed to elevated temperatures. The design is compatible with all major drum cabinet models currently in service. Its low profile allows cabinets to sit only six and one quarter inches above the floor, creating safer working height for drum top funnels and reducing the chance of splash exposure to the operator.

The polyethylene sump captures minor leaks and routine drips. When a significant spill occurs, the internal bladder deploys automatically as liquid volume increases, providing full containment without user intervention. This helps facilities stay aligned with spill control requirements for flammable and combustible liquids set forth in EPA 40 CFR 264.175. The hidden bladder remains protected until needed and does not interfere with daily operation. The system is engineered specifically for safety cabinets and is not a general purpose containment tray. Its construction materials support long term chemical resistance and help maintain cabinet stability during normal use and emergency events.

The containment components, support frame, and bladder deployment characteristics provide a straightforward method to extend the functional life of existing cabinets while meeting modern safety expectations. Facilities that rely on legacy equipment gain a practical method to increase environmental protection and reduce spill related risks without replacing entire cabinet units. The system remains out of sight during daily use but responds immediately when liquid flow reaches the sump threshold, extending the containment footprint around the cabinet base. By integrating spill control under the cabinet, the system keeps work areas cleaner, reduces exposure hazards, and supports consistent regulatory compliance.
